My two-cents…

The lost message of the Gospel is that Christianity and suffering go hand in hand (see Matt 16:24-25; Rom 8:17; Phi 1:29; 2Tim 3:12; 1Pet 4:1). Those truly desiring spiritual maturity in Christ will face times of suffering. So if you’ve suffered for Christ, take comfort for it is not in vain (see 2Cor 1:7; 2Tim 2:12; 1Pet 4:13-16).
